Never has it become more apparent that you can be standing next to another person and both of you are living in two completely different realities.A Word I Hate To Use…

On December 8, 2022 Francis W. Porretto wrote on Liberty's Torch https://www.libertystorch.info/2022/12/08/a-word-i-hate-to-use/

…is slowly but inexorably forcing its way into my vocabulary. And no, it’s not should.

     Let’s spend a few moments on the incentive structure of retailing. For simplicity, let’s focus on a merchant who buys all his stock-in-trade from others, and attempts to sell it at a profit sufficient to be worth his while. Let’s call our hypothetical retailer Smith.

     Smith’s fundamentals fall into a small number of categories:

  1. Wholesale costs of stock;
  2. Retail prices of stock;
  3. Overhead costs (i.e., costs of operation);
  4. What return Smith deems an acceptable return for his time and labor.

     Even a retailer who sells only one kind of one item must reckon up all four of those considerations. Smith will do his best to know those four numbers as accurately as possible. A significant error in any of them could put him out of business.

     If Smith is a “brick-and-mortar” retailer, he’ll be particularly sensitive to overhead costs. Those include such mundane components as storefront rent, utilities, contracted services (e.g., someone to clean the place every so often), government permits and fees…and “shrinkage.” That last term is one that makes Smith scowl. “Shrinkage” is retailers’ jargon term for stock that cannot be sold. It must be paid for, like everything in Smith’s store, but before he can sell it, thus defraying the price he paid for it, it…vanishes.

     The usual reason for shrinkage is theft. Shoplifting. While Smith can write it off on his commercial tax returns, that only partly salves the wound. It’s very hard to estimate it beforehand – and afterward, there’s little to nothing Smith can do about it.

     Smith can take certain steps to discourage shoplifting, but each of them comes at a cost. Some of the measures in use today:

  • Security guards;
  • Closed-circuit TV systems;
  • Anti-theft RFID tags and door sensors for them;
  • Stock protected by locked cases that must be opened by Smith or his employee;
  • Remotely controlled dual-door systems that create a confinement space for entering customers.

     Smith must confront each measure’s cost and determine what it will do to his business overall before deciding whether to embrace it. Some of the costs could come in reduced good will from Smith’s customers, including losing their trade to competitors.

     No anti-theft measure is indefeasible. All of them will fall to a sufficiently determined thief. The thief who defeats all the prevention measures will be deterred only by his personal estimate of whether the justice system will catch him and call him to account…and that, Smith can do nothing to control.

     Some municipalities have thrown away the very possibility of bringing retail shoplifters to justice. The consequences have been appalling:

     [Organized Retail Crime] is prompting retailers to permanently shut down stores all over the nation. Right now, retail theft is happening from coast to coast on a scale that we have never seen in our entire history. Marauding bands of looters are barging into stores, grabbing as much merchandise as they can possibly carry, and then loading it into their vehicles. Online marketplaces make it easier than ever to turn stolen goods into cash, and at this point organized retail crime has become a multi-billion dollar business. As I have repeatedly warned my readers, America is descending into lawlessness. The thin veneer of civilization that we all depend upon on a daily basis is rapidly disappearing, and if we stay on this path our society will soon be completely unrecognizable.

     Smith, however he might try, could not do anything about an organized, well equipped gang of marauding thieves should it select his store to loot. Neither could Target or Walmart. All a victimized retailer could hope for is vigorous investigation, pursuit, and prosecution of such a gang…and several large municipalities decline to do so.

     And you thought porch package thieves are bad.

***

     The number of Americans who acquire everything they ever need or want through their own labor is small enough to be deemed negligible. Practically speaking, every one of us depends upon the ability to buy and sell without interference. But interference by criminals threatens that ability. Unwillingness among legislatures and prosecutors to act against such criminals magnifies the threat by removing the deterrence that would otherwise exist. And here at long last we come to the word I alluded to at the top:

Inevitable.

     That retail commerce would suffer massively from the default of the justice system was inevitable, as the cited articles suggest. But that’s not the only inevitability. Others are already rearing their heads:

  • Theft insurance is becoming unaffordable.
  • Retailers are imposing stringent shopping conditions on their customers.
  • Many retailers are closing stores; others are going completely out of business.

     As “obvious” as those consequences might seem, there’s another that’s just as “obvious” but considerably more horrifying: Retailers personally acting against thieves, usually with firearms.

     There are specific kinds of retail commerce where “the gun behind the counter” has been a feature for some time. Liquor stores in urban districts come to mind. That practice will spread. For some personal and familial proprietorships, it will become a literal matter of survival. This, too, is inevitable.

     I feel comfortable predicting a few of the consequences of a retailer killing a thief before the miscreant can get away:

  • The media will condemn the retailer for his “wanton act of violence.”
  • Politicians will trumpet the “need” for gun control.
  • The “justice system” will disclaim any responsibility for the crime wave.

     Perhaps these things are not inevitable…but I wouldn’t advise my Gentle Readers to bet against them.

Twitter exposes Deep State mass brainwashingTwitter exposes Deep State mass brainwashing

On December 11, 2022 Martin Geddes wrote on Future of Communications https://newsletter.martingeddes.com/p/twitter-exposes-deep-state-mass-brainwashing

The level of criminality involved is simply breathtaking

The Twitter Files scandal continues to unfold day by day, confirming beyond any doubt what many of us have been saying for years: there is a “Deep State” alliance of government agencies, (quasi-)private organisations, media, and intelligence professionals engaged in mass censorship to cover up organised crime, notably crimes against children and treason.

The key facts to date are that:

  • Twitter executives lied under oath to Congress about their policies and behaviour

  • A blind eye was turned to child pornography and human trafficking on the platform, making staff complicit in such crimes

  • The policing tools that were meant for legitimate ends were instead used to censor individual free speech and give a false impression (via trends) of collective sentiment

  • There were active attempts to influence the 2020 election, including narrative control, suppression of candidates, removal of open debate, and the deliberate targeting of the elected President for deplatforming

  • There was direct collusion in censorship with the FBI, DNI, DoJ, bringing into question whether Twitter is meaningfully a private entity or just a (deep) state front and proxy

  • There was participation in creating a false narrative around the January 6th protests and hiding that the President requested people to peacefully disperse

  • The DNC and Democrat politicians were lobbying to silence their critics and opposing candidates — notably Katie Hobbs in Arizona

  • There are large numbers of past and current employees with direct or past ties to government agencies, with unclear (at best) loyalty

  • The Head of Site Integrity, Yoel Roth, has a long track record of promoting underage sexuality and frequently references paedophile themes

  • The Deputy General Counsel, James Baker, attempted to suppress public knowledge of FBI involvement, while being a former FBI agent

  • Direct messages were not private as claimed

  • The placement of John Podesta’s neice onto the Trust and Safety Council eliminates even a pretence to political impartiality

  • A portal to the CDC allowed unlawful removal of First Amendment speech rights of those who questioned the totalitarian Covid public health narrative and Big Pharma interests

  • The attempt to unseat an existing President is treason — we are watching a (failed) coup in progress

  • The mass media fails to report on treason, perjury, sedition at Twitter — making them complicit in the coup effort

The horrors continue to tumble out, and other people are doing a great job of combing through the details. This is only going to ramp up: Musk appears to be the frontman for a “white hat” military intelligence operation to take down Big Tech and the legacy media. Twitter always was an information weapon, never a social media site. As the corruption is exposed, there no doubt will be increasingly desperate efforts to discredit it or distract. It is practically certain we will see false flags to pin atrocities on those who attempt to bring accountability, as well as disruption to current mass communications networks.

The deeper story is that a “state within the state” has clearly emerged. Another example of this is the ability of Perkins Coie to use a backdoor to gain access to FBI and NSA databases to spy on American citizens unlawfully. The infiltration and betrayal is everywhere, with private contractors who ultimately service the interests of criminals or foreigners. What we are confronting is a complex network of treachery, greed, and subversion that has operated in the shadows for a long time. The active and ongoing suppression of this story is itself the big story.

What all criminals seek is freedom from accountability, and controlled operations in the courts, media, law enforcement, lawmaking facilitate the cover-up of crimes. The seriousness of what Twitter has already been proven to be doing cannot be overstated. The invisible algorithmic and policy rigging of the public square to promote lies is textbook mind control. This kind of mass brainwashing is Soviet or Nazi level of tyranny. We are watching an Orwellian entity depositing facts and events into the “memory hole”. It naturally causes us to ask who was the puppeteer, and what other puppet shows have been going on.

Given the sudden about-turn in behaviour by Tim Cook at Apple upon meeting Elon Musk, we can reasonably surmise they have been up to wicked things too, and the latter has the goods on the former. Given Apple’s dealings with the CCP, that’s not surprising. It is hardly news that Facebook is a criminal outfit used to spy on the public and enforce absolute narrative control. TikTok is socially engineering the West (and especially the young) so as to weaken our society and make it more vulnerable to CCP takeover. Sitting behind these brands are entities like DARPA, supplying the silent weapons for the quiet war on human consciousness.

A constitutional republic is not a democracy: lasting individual liberties trump the passing fashions of the mob. Yet it still requires democratic processes for legitimacy and accountability, such as clean elections, and fora that support open public debate on policy and candidates. If those who commit politically-motivated crimes cannot be exposed, then you just have a corrupt cartel in charge, not an actual representative government. You can try to justify what was going on at Twitter, but that means the only worthwhile debate left is whether you are a fascist or a communist.

How Low Can You Go?

Remember the limbo? It was a dance fad kind of like the Olympic high jump in reverse: instead of leaping over a horizontal bar, you duck-walked under it to calypso music, with the crowd squealing, “How low can you go?” As it happens, in the culture of Western Civ, Limbo is also the name of a place on the edge of Hell. Either way, you have an apt metaphor for the spot that the USA is in as we enter the summer of double-deuce.

Lots of things are going south all at once: the stock markets and bond prices, Bitcoin is doing a vanishing act. The Colorado River reservoirs, Lake Powell and Lake Mead, are so low that, by September, both water and electricity may run out for a vast region that includes Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Southern California. The housing market is tanking (suburbia’s business model is broken). Whole herds of beef cattle roll over and die out on the range. Fertilizer is scarce. Food processing plants get torched by the dozen. Shortages loom.

The oil-and-gas industry is getting killed four ways: 1) our stupid Russia sanctions queered longstanding global distribution arrangements; 2) the industry is starved for capital; 3) depletion is seriously kicking in; and 4) “Joe Biden” and the knuckleheads running the EU countries are trying to kill it so as to usher in a Green New Deal that just doesn’t pencil-out.

The car dealers have no new cars on their lots, and pretty soon they’ll run out of decent used cars — which, these days, are often priced higher than the non-existent new cars. How’s that for a business model? Plus, the financially beaten-up middle-class can’t afford cars in either case, and increasingly can’t qualify for car loans.

The airline industry reels with a sucking chest wound due to a pilot shortage (thanks to vaxx mandates) and the high cost of jet fuel. The trucking industry’s business model is also broken with diesel fuel over six dollars a gallon — the cost of delivery exceeds the value of the cargo. America runs on trucks and if they stop running, so does everything else. Replacement parts are growing scarce for every mechanical device in the land. It’s getting harder to fix anything that’s broken.

“Joe Biden’s” proxy war against Russia in Ukraine isn’t working out. It was flamboyantly stupid from the get-go. We deliberately broke the Minsk agreements for a cease-fire in the Donbas to goad the Russians into action. NATO didn’t have the troops or the political mojo to back up its US-inspired bluster. Our financial warfare blew back in our faces and actually benefited the Russian economy and its currency, the ruble. The billions of dollars in weapons we’re sending into the war are easily interdicted in transport, or else are getting loose in a world of non-state maniacs ranging from the Taliban to al Qaeda to drug cartels.

Meanwhile, Russia steadfastly grinds out a victory on-the-ground that will leave it in control of the Black Sea and will reveal the USA’s lost capacity to impose its will around the world. In other words, our Ukraine project “to weaken Russia” brought on an epochal shift in the balance of power to our enormous disadvantage. This is on top of more than twenty years of US military fiascos from Afghanistan, to Iraq, to North Africa, to Syria which demonstrated our reckless disregard for human life and a gross inability to carry out a mission. This aggregate failure and display of weakness leaves us vulnerable to Chinese aggression in the Pacific. There is even spooky chatter now about China venturing to invade Australia, Japan, and the USA mainland. Yes, really.

With all this to be concerned about, half the American public, and the “Joe Biden” regime they insist they elected, remain in thrall to the Covid-19 horror movie and at the mercy of the deadly mRNA pharmaceutical products that were magically waiting in-advance of the outbreak to profit on it. But now, all the cover stories are falling apart. It’s getting harder to conceal the deaths and injuries caused by the vaccines, including a striking drop in fertility and the permanent damage to millions of people’s immune systems that will lay them low with cancer, neurological illness, and cardiovascular disease in the months ahead.

The CDC / FDA / Pharma cabal’s strategy-for-now: keep bluffing and quintupling down on their cover up — they just sweepingly approved mRNA shots for babies. Why? To extend the emergency use authorization that shields Pfizer and Moderna from liability. It won’t work long, of course, because under settled law fraud vacates that kind of protection, and the public health officials with their Pharma cronies have orchestrated the deadliest fraud in human history.

If there is an American nation left in a year or so, with a functioning legal system, the players in this cabal are going to land in witness chairs to explain why they killed so many people. (“We were following The Science,” they’ll say. Uh-huh….) By then, no one will believe their bullshit and it will be off to the American limbo known as Palookaville for the likes of Fauci, Collins, Gates, Bourla, Bancel, Walensky and the gang.

To try to head-off anything like that, the “Joe Biden” regime just announced a second attempt to control the news-flow with a White House Disinformation Task Force, to replace the ludicrous Homeland Security Disinformation Governance Board that flopped so miserably in May when its appointed chief, Ms. Jankowicz, turned out to be a prime purveyor of disinformation. The new Disinfo Task Force, led by Veep Kamala Harris — who performed so well in her previous assignment as Border Czar — is pretending to be all about online sexual harassment and gender bigotry. I’m sure….

It won’t work. “Joe Biden” is running on empty. His regime staggers on in a delirium and an odium, like one of those groaning, brain-leaking zombies on cable-TV. The voters are poised to unload two barrels of buckshot to this monster’s head in November if we are not prevented from holding elections by yet another bogus “emergency.” Until then, we’re in a race to see just how the Party of Chaos completes the destruction of the economy, which is the prelude to the people of the USA destroying the Party of Chaos.

Turn in your guns, the government will take care of you.

Time To Get Serious
If we are being honest, most of us are LARPing to some extent. Maybe not guys like Bison Prepper but the rest of us? We talk a good game but most of the time we are living like we don't really think things are going tits up imminently. At some point yes, but this evening? Nah, things seem OK.

Things always seem to be going OK, right until they aren't going OK.

Please note: If you are someone who thinks they are super serious, please save your outraged defense of your non-LARPing status, I am speaking in generalities and including myself.

On June 17, 2021 Arthur Sido wrote on his blog, click here to read at the source

It isn't a coincidence that gun guy t-shirts (Gadsden flag, Punisher skull, etc) are usually sold out in 3X and 4X long before they sell out the S and M. A lot of us are long on pew pew and short on "walking up a flight of stairs".

We have gotten away with it so far because the wheels have stubbornly stayed on the clown car. Everything I am seeing seems to suggest that the wheels are held on by a single lug and those threads are about stripped.

What is shifting has little to do with antifa fags or bLM or exploding crime in the urban areas. No one cares about those things right now. Instead what might be changing has more to do with normies.

Most people are normies, on the "left" and "right" of the political mainstream. In general they take a lot of abuse and deal with it by channeling their frustration into acceptable channels, arguing on social media, attachment to sports, etc That worked for decades mostly because they are incredibly comfortable. You can put up with a lot of indignity and ignore a lot of alarm bells when you have endless entertainment and new products to consume. When your comfort goes away though? Bad thoughts start creeping up.

It started with the one-two punch of Covid and the urban rioting following the death of George Floyd. People were suddenly scared. They went to the store and the toilet paper and chicken wings were gone. That isn't supposed to happen. They bought guns in enormous numbers because it was suddenly clear that the cops weren't going to save them. Their trust in the system collapsed overnight. When the 2020 election was obviously stolen, around 75 million Americans realized that they were effectively disenfranchised so in 2021 they bought EVEN MOAR GUNZ.

In 2022 things are getting worse for normie. Much worse. Gone are the big checks to bribe normie and even worse, inflation is making us all poorer. It isn't just gas prices and inflation. The news is all bad. Like this:
People are getting angrier by the day. A few of us online are one thing but if the average normie starts to act up?

The undercurrents of resentment are getting stronger and we are looking down the barrel of some really bad stuff, like food shortages on top of massive food cost inflation. Things are looking ugly and soon.

All of us need to get a lot more serious about everything and anything. Physical fitness, food and water self-sustainability, having the means to protect our loved ones and putting in the time to practice for that time we hope never comes.

Play time is over, getting serious time is upon us.

End Blasphemy End SatanismStop Satanism • Blaspheme Never Again !

The First Amendment protects against the infringement of religion and in so doing, it protects religion itself from blasphemers, heretics, iconoclasts, and apostates.

Satanism is NOT a legitimate religion and does not deserve any protections under the First Amendment.

Satanism exists solely as a repudiation of another religion, Christianity. Satan is NOT a god. He's a flunky. Any worship of Satan is merely a rude gesture AGAINST the God of Christianity. The entire act of worship in Satanism IS flinging an insult at the God of Christianity. As such, it is not the practice of a religion, but rather the practice of an insult.

Neurolinguistic Programming

You may already know that NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. The name is derived from three components that most affect our human experience: our neurology, our language, and our programming, or the way in which we have learned to model the world around us. The development of NLP began in the 1970s in California, by Richard Bandler and John Grinder as an innovative approach to psychotherapy, communication, and personal development.

NLP studies the methods, validity and scope involved in what it means to be human on many different levels and dimensions. It focuses on fostering competence and flexibility of behavior, and involves analytical and strategic thought to understand what mental processes are behind human behavior.
