Foxes are raiding the henhouse.
Rooster goes to pack dogs seeking help, "Hey can I get you guys to help run the foxes out of the henhouse?"
Dogs say, "No, you lack standing and basically we are too cowardly and inept to do anything. You are on your own."
Rooster goes to pigs seeking help, "Hey can I get you guys to help run the foxes off of my henhouse?"
Pigs ain't doing nothing but lying in the mud, even knowing they are up for slaughter themselves eventually.
(Sorry, but I couldn't help but get a dig in against our fine law enforcement here.)
Finally, Rooster goes to Farmer seeking help.
Farmer, seemingly inexplicably, says,
“Hold on a second… [Trump] said the election was stolen. This election was not stolen. The results were certified in every single state … after count and recounts.”

Come to find out, Farmer has sold off acreage and stock to Communist China, so he don't give a rip anymore.
Farmer banked out to the tune of $1.5 BILLION, yes BILLION, dollars and he could care less about the hens.
Moral of the story (allegory): Rooster looses. YOU LOSE. Rooster's still playing by chivalrous, peace-time rules nicey-nicey while facts on the ground show the whole countryside has gone Leviathan. (Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes) Rule of Law is dead, it's every man for himself now and the foxes have taken over the chickenhouse.
The Left spent 4 years screamng that Donald Trump was "Not MY President" (and change - they were proclaiming this even before he was inaugurated).
They went so far as to impeach him, and try him in the Senate - at which point, he was acquitted.
They bided their time, ran their Muppet-Wannabe Biden, and lost. But, then, by virtue of holding their breath until they turned blue, getting their allies in the media to prematurely declare, and using both quasi-legal maneuvers, abbreviated hearings (practically ignored by the media), and questionable court decisions NOT to intervene, got their Muppet installed in office.
They had pre-emptively impeached Trump before he left Washington, while he was still president - with the shameful collusion of the RINO contingent.
Now, they have taken the Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate, with pomp and cameras, determined to vanquish the Trump-Beast, at last.
What they have forgotten:

Why is an investigation of a point in dispute an issue? George Stephanopoulos asked Rand Paul “… This election was not stolen, do you accept that fact?” Senator Paul most definitely did not accept that fact. Paul responded.
The Paul opening
“Well, what I would say is that the debate over whether or not there was fraud should occur… We never had any presentation in court where we actually looked at the evidence. Most of the cases were thrown out for lack of standing… [It] is a procedural way of not actually hearing the question. There were several states in which the law was changed by the Secretary of State and not the state legislature.”
“To me, those are clearly unconstitutional… I think there’s still a chance that those actually do finally work their way up to the Supreme Court. Courts traditionally and historically don’t like to hear election questions. But yes. Were there people who voted twice? Were there dead people who voted? Were there illegal aliens who voted? Yes… we should get to the bottom of it,”
“I’ll give you an example. In my state… we had a Democrat Secretary of State… she refused, even under federal order, to purge the rolls of illegal voters. We got a Republican Secretary of State and he purged the rolls.”
Stephanopoulos broke in, saying: “I have to stop you there. No election is perfect. But there were 86 challenges filed by President Trump and his allies in court, all were dismissed. Every state certified the results… The Department of Justice led by William Barr said there’s no widespread evidence of fraud. Can’t you just say the words, this election –”
Paul broke in to say, “no… What I would suggest is that if we want greater confidence in our elections, and 75% of Republicans agree with me, is that we do need to look at election integrity, and we need to see if we can restore confidence in the elections… Hey, George. George. George. Where you make a mistake is that people coming from the liberal side like you… you immediately say everything’s a lie instead of saying there are two sides to everything. Historically what would happen is if said that I thought that there was fraud, you would interview someone else who said there wasn’t. But now you insert yourself in the middle and say that the absolute … fact is that everything that I’m saying is a lie.”
Stephanopoulos responded, “Hold on a second… [Trump] said the election was stolen. This election was not stolen. The results were certified in every single state … after count and recounts.”
To which Senator Paul said not so. “You’re saying that absolutely it was — you’re saying there was no fraud and it’s all been investigated, and that’s just not true… You say we’re all liars. You just simply say we’re all liars.”
“In Wisconsin, tens of thousands of absentee votes had only the name on them and no address. Historically those were thrown out, this time they weren’t. They made special accommodations because they said, oh, it’s a pandemic and people forgot what their address was.”
“So they changed the law after the fact. That is wrong, that’s unconstitutional. And I plan on spending the next two years going around state to state and fixing these problems and I won’t be cowed by liberals in the media who say, there’s no evidence here and you’re a liar if you talk about election fraud. No, let’s have an open debate. It’s a free country…”
Stephanopoulos said: “There is no widespread evidence of election fraud that overturned that results. That was stated as well by the Department of Justice led by President Trump’s attorney general. In Wisconsin, there were counts and recounts.”
Why is investigation of a point in dispute an issue? Who is investigating and who is accepting assertions?
Paul came back saying: “It was never studied. Even that’s not true. Even that’s not true. Even that’s not true… There’s been no examination, thorough examination of all the states to see what problems we had and see if they could fix them. Now, let me say to be clear, I voted to certify the state electors because I think it would be wrong for Congress to overturn that.”
“But at the same time, I’m not willing just to sit here and say, oh, everybody on the Republican side is a liar and there is no fraud. No, there were lots of problems and there were secretaries of state who illegally changed the law and that needs to be fixed. And I’m going to work hard to fix it. And I won’t be cowed by people saying, oh, you’re a liar…”
“That’s the problem with the media today is they say all Republicans are liars, and everything we say is a lie. There are two sides to every story. Interview somebody on the other side, but don’t insert yourself into the story to say we’re all liars, because we do think there’s some fraud and the election needs to be fixed.”
Stephanopoulos responded, “Sir, there are not — there are not two sides to this story. This has been looked in every single state.”
If you are a leftist can you be a journalist. Why is investigation of a point in dispute an issue? Shouldn’t there be a disclosure of facts? Wouldn’t that help resolve the area of dispute. Is simply saying a government official told me so; is that enough?
Paul said, “Sure there are… There are two sides to every story. George, you’re forgetting who you are. You’re forgetting who you are as a journalist if you think there’s only one side. You’re inserting yourself into the story to say I’m a liar because I want to look at election fraud and I want to look at secretaries of state who illegally changed the voter laws without the permission of their state legislatures. That is incontrovertible, it happened.”
“And you can’t just sweep it under the rug and say, ‘Oh, nothing to see here, and everybody is a liar and you’re a fool if you bring this up.’ You’re inserting yourself into the story. A journalist would hear both sides and there are two sides of a story…”
“I believe in Pennsylvania, they broke the law, and I believe if that ever will get a real hearing in the Supreme Court, it was denied for standing. It wasn’t actually taken up. If it were taken up, I do believe that the Supreme Court would overrule and say that they did break the law illegally.”

Paul said, “I think there was a great deal of evidence of fraud and changing of the election laws illegally. And I think a thorough investigation is warranted…”

Back in 2016, the American people, sick to the gills of global capitalism and its increasingly oppressive woke ideology, elected an unauthorized, narcissistic ass-clown to the highest office in the land. They did this for a variety of reasons, but mostly it was just a big “fuck you” to the establishment. It was an act of rebellion against a government which they know is owned by unaccountable, supranational corporations and oligarchs who openly detest them. It was an act of rebellion against a system of government they know they have no influence over, and are not going to have any influence over. It was an act of rebellion against global capitalism, the unopposed, global-hegemonic system which has dominated the world for the last thirty years … whether they realized what they were rebelling against or not.
This act of rebellion happened on the heels of Brexit (another such act of rebellion) and in the context of the rise of assorted “populist” movements all throughout the world. When Trump actually won in 2016, the global capitalist ruling classes realized they had a serious problem … a “populist” rebellion in the heart of the empire. So they suspended the Global War on Terror and launched the War on Populism.
The ultimate objective of the War on Populism was to neutralize this “populist” rebellion and remind the public who is actually running things. Think of the Trump era as a prison riot. In any maximum security prison, the prisoners know they can’t escape, but they can definitely raise a little hell now and then, which they tend to do when they get really tired of being abused and neglected by the prison guards. Most prison riots run out of steam on their own, but if they go on too long or get too ugly, the penal authorities typically respond by shooting a few prisoners (usually the ringleaders), and reminding the inmates that they are in a prison, and that the owners of the prison have guns, whereas they have shivs made out of spoons and toothbrushes.
This, basically, is what we’ve just experienced. The global capitalist ruling classes have just reminded us who is really in charge, who the US military answers to, and how quickly they can strip away the facade of democracy and the rule of law. They have reminded us of this for the last ten months, by putting us under house arrest, beating and arresting us for not following orders, for not wearing masks, for taking walks without permission, for having the audacity to protest their decrees, for challenging their official propaganda, about the virus, the election results, etc. They are reminding us currently by censoring dissent, and deplatforming anyone they deem a threat to their official narratives and ideology.

Remember when the War on Terror ended and the War on Populism began? That’s OK, no one else does.
It happened in the Summer of 2016, also known as “the Summer of Fear.” The War on Terror was going splendidly. There had been a series of “terrorist attacks,” in Orlando, Nice, Würzberg, Munich, Reutlingen, Ansbach, and Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, each of them perpetrated by suddenly “self-radicalized” “lone wolf terrorists” (or “non-terrorist terrorists“) who had absolutely no connection to any type of organized terrorist groups prior to suddenly “self- radicalizing” themselves by consuming “terrorist content” on the Internet. It seemed we were entering a new and even more terrifying phase of the Global War on Terror, a phase in which anyone could be a “terrorist” and “terrorism” could mean almost anything.
This broadening of the already virtually meaningless definition of “terrorism” was transpiring just in time for Obama to hand off the reins to Hillary Clinton, who everyone knew was going to be the next president, and who was going to have to bomb the crap out of Syria in response to the non-terrorist terrorist threat. The War on Terror (or, rather, “the series of persistent targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America,” as Obama rebranded it) was going to continue, probably forever. The Brexit referendum had just taken place, but no one had really digested that yet … and then Trump won the nomination.
Like that scene in Orwell’s 1984 where the Party switches official enemies right in the middle of the Hate Week rally, the War on Terror was officially canceled and replaced by the War on Populism. Or … all right, it wasn’t quite that abrupt. But seriously, go back and scan the news. Note how the “Islamic terrorist threat” we had been conditioned to live in fear of on a daily basis since 2001 seemed to just vanish into thin air. Suddenly, the “existential threat” we were facing was “neo-nationalism,” “illiberalism,” or the pejorative designator du jour, “populism.”

Scattered throughout the length and breadth of the United States are those who have experienced first-hand the tyranny of despotic rulers and repressive one-party oligarchies. Today, many of us that came here as refugees are watching with bemusement and a mild sense of trepidation as the oblivious, self-absorbed, puerile wannabe autocrats in the Ruling Class are hell-bent on imposing their dysfunctional version of one-party dictatorial rule on a nation they apparently neither know nor understand.
The vast bulk of this cadre of self-styled intellectuals and societal elites are little different from those in various European nations. They are not only beset with a severe case of narcissism but are among the most gullible and easily manipulated due to their overweening need to feel superior to those they perceive to be lesser fellow citizens. This sense of superiority eventually manifests itself in an immutable belief that they are preordained to rule the unwashed masses. Thus, they easily fall sway to a charismatic leader or are willing to accept any inane philosophical theory or deviancy that helps embed their status among the nation’s elites.
